CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) -- Come one, come all! The magnificent Big Apple Circus is bringing its talented performers and high-flying stunts back to the Ocean State this weekend, so the Rhode Show went "On the Rhode" to get a close look.
The "World's Greatest Circus" has an all-new show this year, titled "Dream Big", with amazing acts including acrobats, clowns and jugglers.
We saw the Shandong Acrobatic Troupe from China show off their incredible agility and flexibility through the use of jump ropes. You've probably never seen these moves on the playground!
Anna Volodko, from the suburbs of Moscow, Russia, gave us a preview of her amazing elegance and poise as she swung way up high on the aerial rope.
Also from Russia, juggler Demitry Chernov gave Michaela a lesson in his art, and showed us what it takes to truly dazzle audiences. He must have some incredible hand-eye coordination to juggle five balls at once!
Homegrown sensation Jenny Vidbel presents her group of incredibly talented animals, including some very obedient dogs, and even a porcupine!
The Big Apple Circus will hold 24 performances at Ninigret Park in Charlestown from Saturday, June 23 until Sunday, July 8.
The big top is air-conditioned, so it's a great event for a hot summer day!
Tickets for "Dream Big" start at just $15 and can by purchased by calling (888) 541-3750, at the Charlestown Chamber of Commerce, located at 4985 Old Post Road, at the circus box office, or online at bigapplecircus.org
