Dunkin’ Donuts Halloween Donut Treats (Spider)
Makes 6
Ingredients
6 Dunkin’ Donuts, Red Velvet Donut
6 Dunkin Red Velvet Munchkins
2 cups Prepared Butter cream Frosting
Orange Food Coloring
Candy for Decorating- have fun with it! We used the following;
Black Licorice Whips
Mini Marshmallows
Tiny Chicklets
Preparation
In small bowl, mix the butter cream frosting with a few drops of the food coloring, mix until it reaches your desired color.
Place Frosting into a piping bag, fitted with a small writing piping tip.
Starting in the center on the donut, pipe orange frosting in a circular motion, moving towards the outer edge of the donut.
With a small knife, starting from the center of the donut, gently swipe the knife across the frosting towards the outer edge of the donut. This will help make the frosting look like a spider web. Continue every ¼” around the donut until your spider web is complete.
Cut your black licorice whips into 4 inch strips.
Cut your mini marshmallows into small pieces, this will be the base of your eyes for the spider.
Begin to decorate with candy;
Using the cut strips of black licorice, place one end of the strip in the center of the donut, continuing until you have four on each side of the donut.
Place 2 pieces of the cut marshmallows onto the munchkin, spaced apart so they look like eyes. In the center of the marshmallow place a piece of colored candy chicklet for the center of your eye. (If the marshmallow does not stick, you can use a little bit of frosting to help adhere the marshmallow to the munchkin).
Using a small knife, make a tiny slit in the munchkin, right where the mouth would be and insert a colored candy chicklet for the mouth.
Place the Munchkin Candy Head in the center of the donut.
Recommendations
You can use any style of donut you prefer, as a reminder it would be best to purchase donuts not already frosted.

With frosting on spatula spread evenly over the cone and top of the donut. Smooth out frosting as best you can.
Begin to decorate with candy; using one Sour Candy Strip, place around the base of the cone, where the cone and donut meet. Allowing the strip to criss cross in the front, resembling a ribbon.
