Congressman Jim Langevin joined “The Rhode Show” Thursday as part of our “Coffee with the Candidates.”

The Congressman was born in Providence and was a Boy Scout growing up. He's also a huge Sci-Fi fan, and one of his favorites he said is “The Matrix”.

Of things he loves to do most in the Ocean State, Langevin said taking his family members to different shows at PPAC and just spending time at home is what tops the list.

All of the members of his family have been so supportive in his bid to run for office again.

He also enjoys going back to his high school at Bishop Hendricken, in Warwick and seeing friends.

Even though he is a Congressman he said to his friends he is still just “Jim”.

Langevin was first elected a member of the Rhode Island General Assembly in 1988 and served as a state representative until 1994.

He was elected Secretary of State of Rhode Island in November 1994.
