(WPRI) - Rhode Island's most talked about girls night is coming to Newport. The Give & Glam event is happening at Belle Mer Thursday, October 4.

But, this night out is more than just the best in beauty, fashion and shopping, it also helps several charities.

The anticipated sold out event will feature a glamorous pink carpet for guest arrivals, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and fashion show with local celebrities and some of Rhode Island’s media personalities.

Julie Ruditzky and Yemi Sekonki joined The Rhode Show to give the scoop on what to expect.

The event will help raise funds and awareness to five local charities:

  • Hasbro Children’s Hospital’s Dream BIG Calendar will be sold at the event with all proceeds benefiting the hospital. Alex & Ani-featured in the Rhody Mamas sponsored lounge-will also be donating 20% of their sales to the hospital.
  • “Friends Of Ballard Park,” which helps protect Newport’s only nature preserve, will participate with an awareness booth.
  • “Look Good…Feel Better,” which helps raise the self-esteem of those receiving cancer treatments, will receive $1 per every event ticket sold.
  • “Sojourner House,” which supports victims of Domestic Violence, will raise awareness with a donation table.
  •  “Shri Service Corps,” which offers yoga for city youth, will receive $1 per every event ticket sold.

Tickets can be purchased at www.giveandglam.com.
