FALL RIVER, Mass (WPRI) - In this week's Street Story, a wrestling legend and Rhode Island native is hanging up his boots while he can still walk.
Lincoln's Spike Dudley has retired from pro wrestling.
"This is a sad night for me," Dudley said during The Killer Kowalski Cup, an 8 man smackdown that recently took place in Fall River.
"I love the drama, the physicality," Dudley said. "To make a living and have a career.. It's a dream come true."
The Killer Kowalski Cup is an annual tournament sponsored by TopRope Productions .
While words can be used to describe the event, they failure to capture the true intensity and dedication by not only the wrestlers in the ring, but also the fans that surround it.
