BARRINGTON, R.I. (WPRI) - A local girl is taking her college project all the way to Broadway and keeping her brother as her focus.

Jeff Galli was paralyzed back in 1998, after diving into a pool and injuring his spinal cord.

His sister, Sarah Galli, says she watched as her family adjusted to the life-changing event.

"Seeing my parents as caregivers for someone with a spinal chord injury."

  • The Galli's father Richard wrote a book, Rescuing Jeffrey , about how the family adjusted to helping Jeff adjust

Sarah took her passion for Broadway, creating 'Born for Broadway' which started out small, but is now cast with Broadway and TV headliners.

The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation is also part of the mix.

Sarah keeps her focus on helping her brother - donating one-hundred percent of the proceeds from the show towards research.
