EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - This week on Newsmakers, New Bedford Mayor Scott Lang sits down to discuss a number of issues facing his city, including the renewed possibility of the Southcoast rail program, and what casino gambling would mean for the city.

On the second half of the show, our political roundtable welcomes Maureen Moakley, Professor of Political Science at URI for an in-depth look at the Providence mayor’s race, and the campaign to fill the seat of Congressman Patrick Kennedy.
