EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - This week on Newsmakers: Republican House Minority Leader Robert Watson. Earlier in the week, Watson got into a screaming match with Speaker of the House Gordon Fox when Watson tried to bring up a same sex marriage bill for a vote. Watson, who opposes same sex marriage but supports civil unions, said he wanted to clear the way for discussion focused on the budget. Watson also talks about what he’d like to see from the Governor’s office for a budget plan and why he thinks reinstating the Ethics Commission to its full power might be a bad idea.
