EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - This week on Newsmakers: a political roundtable discussing the 1st Congressional District race.
On the heels of a heated debate between incumbent Congressman David Cicilline and challenger Anthony Gemma, our political roundtable analyzes the forum and looks ahead to the general election. Gemma is facing a 12-point deficit in the latest Eyewitness News political poll. The panel talks about what Gemma can do to try and shrink the lead and how Brendan Doherty may try and run his campaign. On the roundtable: Tim White and Ted Nesi from WPRI 12, Eyewitness News analysts Joe Fleming and Arlene Violet, and Rhode Island Public Radio political analyst Scott MacKay.
