EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - This week on Newsmakers: Providence Economic Development Director Jim Bennett and Andera CEO Charlie Kroll.
After a nationwide search, Providence Mayor Angel Taveras selected Bennett for a new cabinet position designed to try and lure more jobs to the beleaguered city. Bennett discusses growing the Port of Providence and other incentives to bring and retain businesses in the capital.
Then on the second half, software developer and CEO of Andera Charlie Kroll gives his perspective of running a business in Providence. Kroll says the biggest challenge facing him is finding top quality talent to fill the skilled jobs his company is offering.
