EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - This week on Newsmakers: a political roundtable with WPRI 12 political analyst Joe Fleming and political consultant Cara Cromwell joining Tim White, Ted Nesi and Ian Donnis.

The roundtable dives into the new WPRI 12 poll showing Democratic Congressman David Cicilline six points ahead of his Republican opponent Brendan Doherty, a big change from the February poll which showed Doherty ahead by 15 points. They discuss how Cicilline put together his comeback and what Doherty can do to come back. They also discuss the first presidential debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, the race in the 2nd Congressional District and the resignation of one of a top deputy to House Speaker Gordon Fox.
