EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A new bill to end legalized prostitution in Rhode Island and The Tea Party protest planned April 15th in Rhode Island are the topics of discussion for this week's Newsmakers.
In segment one, Donna Hughes, a Women's Studies Professor at URI, talks about the new bill that would do away with prostitution in Rhode Island. A move she said would protect victims of sex trafficking.
In segment two, Colleen Conley, coordinator for the RI Tea
Party, discusses plans for the April 15th tax protest at the RI
State House. The event is part of a national movement.
