Governor discusses RI's emergency budget

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - On this week of Newsmakers, Tim White speaks with Gov. Donald Carcieri about his recently proposed emergency spending plan.

The state needs to close a $357 million budget gap. Some of the governor's proposals include cutting state aid, reforming the state's pension system, and changing how the state's human services programs are delivered.
