EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - This week on Newsmakers: The relationship between organized labor and Governor Don Carcieri has never been more contentious.

Now, the state’s largest labor organization, The Rhode Island AFL-CIO has a new leader -- George Nee was just elected president of the umbrella organization that represents 250 unions and some 80,000 employees.
