Newsmakers 9/10: Congressional District 2 Debate

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - This week on Newsmakers, a commercial free debate among the Democrats for the 2nd Congressional District: Elizabeth Dennigan, Ernest Greco and Jim Langevin.

Dennigan served in the State House of Representatives for 13 years where she was a member of the House Finance Committee. Dennigan is a nurse and an attorney.

Greco has been an Associate Professor of Political Science at Roger Williams University for the past 15 years. He has a doctorate from Boston University and has taught at several colleges across the northeast.

Congressman Langevin has represented Rhode Island in the state's Second Congressional District since 2000. Prior to that, Langevin was Rhode Island's Secretary of State and served in the Rhode Island state legislature.

The three candidates tackle everything from the economy, the deficit, social issues and the war on terror.
