PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Imagine the worst week you have ever had and then start multiplying!

In just one week, a local woman, Stephanie Taylor is diagnosis with a brain tumor and then her car explodes right before she needs to attend a prayer service in her honor.

Providence Police officer James Carr arrived as firefighters knocked out the flames to the vehicle. Then out of the kindness of his own heart, he asked if there was anything he could do for her.

Taylor told him about her brain tumor and the prayer service. So, Carr left covered his beat and returned to take the entire family to church. While they prayed, he went back to work and then returned to bring them home.
