NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) - Rhode Island's largest solar farm is set to go online Saturday in North Kingstown.

It cost Toray Plastics about $2 million to build the three acre farm. Company officials say it'll save them about 70 to $80,000 a year in energy costs, and cut the plants carbon dioxide emissions by 340 tons.

Built in motors allow the panels to follow the sun, always keeping an angle which maximizes the sun's energy, even on cloudy days.

The company will recoup its investment in the solar farm though its newfound energy savings.
