12 Cranston schools go green

EPA awards Energy Star labels to a dozen campuses

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Twelve of Cranston's Public Schools have earned the prestigious Energy Star label.

  1. Chester W. Barrows School
  2. Edgewood Highland School
  3. Cranston High School East
  4. Cranston High School West
  5. Norwood Avenue School
  6. Park View Middle School
  7. Rhodes Elementary School
  8. Sprague School
  9. Stone Hill Elementary School
  10. Western Hills Middle School
  11. William A. Briggs School
  12. Daniel Waterman Elementary School

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awards schools that work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

They can help the environment and save money by doing things like, sealing air leaks, Installing new windows, and changing lighting.
