BRISTOL, R.I. (WPRI) - If you're worried about harsh chemicals in your skin care products, a Rhode Island company may have an alternative for you.
Bryce Organics is based in Bristol, producing a skin care product line free of artificial dyes, fragrances and other chemicals. Instead, the products contain fresh fruit and vegetable purees.
"When I was young, I used to make organic fruit smoothies. So, I decided to incorporate that into a skin care line," said Adrian Bryce Diorio, who founded Bryce Organics three years ago. "Everything we make is made in small batches. So, for each order the product is made specially for that order. No mass production."
The products, which are so fresh they actually need refrigeration and can be eaten, are currently used at Yadira's Skin Care at the New Leaf Hair Studio in Bristol.
"Their skin looks pinkish and it looks like it has a healthy glow to it. There's no discoloration," Yadira Alexander said. "They walk out of here and their skin just looks radiant. It just looks like they're glowing."
Customers agreed.
"I feel very invigorated. I feel very relaxed," said Ashley Vierra, who chose the Belgian Dark Cocoa with South Carolina Strawberry facial. "The scents are amazing. They really hit close to home for the holiday season.
