SWANSEA, Mass. (AP/WPRI) - Crews are still working to clean up the aftermath from a tractor trailer accident ten days ago. The accident left fuel spilled all over the Route 195 East and surrounding areas.
Firefighters say some of the gas seeped into nearby wetlands. Officials say it is still not clear how the fuel spill will affect the environment in the years to come.
Some residents living nearby say they too are concerned about the affects on local drinking water.
Investigations say there are still many gallons of fuel that is unaccounted for from the spill.
