PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The Providence Office of Inspections & Standards has found several violations at a home where a man fell from a second story porch Monday night.

Following the incident, Providence Police called for an inspection of the property.

The report shows that the railing on the second floor porch at 19 Denison Street was made of wood, not iron. Inspectors also say the owner did not pull a permit to have the railing put up.

The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Monday night. Police told Eyewitness News the man tumbled to the ground when a section of railing on the porch gave way. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Officials tell Eyewitness News a notice of violations has been issued to the owner of the house.
