Wake scheduled for Skyla Raposa-Alves, 12

LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) - A wake will be held Thursday evening to remember 12-year-old Skyla Raposa-Alves. Alves died last weekend after contracting the H1N1 virus.

Calling hours for Alves are from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Bellows Funeral Home in Lincoln.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday morning at Saint Anthony's Church in Pawtucket.

Skyla was a seventh grader at Lincoln Middle School.

In lieu of flowers/memorials donations can be made to The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of New England as well as the Providence Animal Rescue League and the Hasbro Children’s Hospital ICU Unit.
