WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - In preparation of cuts in state aid, city workers in Warwick will take four unpaid furlough days in order save money.
Management and union municipal workers have all agreed to the furlough days, the first beginning on Friday, March 19.
Warwick is facing a proposed $3.3 million dollar cut in state aid.
The following offices will be closed March 19, April 9, April 30 and May 14:
Offices open during furlough days:
Residents are advised that that trash and recycling collection will take place as usual on all furlough days.
As always, those with emergencies should call 9-1-1.
