PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The first college H1N1 vaccination clinics began Tuesday at The University of Rhode Island (Kingston Campus) and Rhode Island College.
The vaccinations are free to enrolled students younger than 25. Students who live on campus will receive their vaccinations first.
URI Students can receive their vaccine Tuesday through Friday in the Memorial Union from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Only 500 doses of the vaccine are available per day.
URI's Providence Campus will offer the vaccine December 14th.
At Rhode Island College, clinics will be held Tuesday through Thursday in New Hall from 9:00am to 12:oopm and from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Jane Fusco, a spokesperson for Rhode Island College tells Eyewitness News that about 75 students took the vaccine within the first two hours of the clinic. About 2,000 students live on campus.
