WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - A West Warwick man wanted on several charges by West Warwick Police is now in custody.
Rhode Island State Police say they arrested Darshon Braxton during a traffic stop on Tuesday. West Warwick Police say Braxton led them on a high speed chase in a stolen car last week. He allegedly crashed the car, and ran off from the scene.
Police warned the public, and said Braxton could be armed and dangerous. He has several past convictions, and is a known gang member.
Officials say they were able to track down Braxton after getting several tips from eyewitnesses who saw his photo posted on the Rhode Island's Most Wanted website .
