PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The RI Department of Environmental Management is offering recreational saltwater fishing licenses.

They are available to purchase online, and cost only $7 per year for RI residents.

The license enables the holder to fish in all federal waters and state marine waters throughout southern New England.

The new RI license program is a complement to the new federal registry and the license programs.
