WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (WPRI) - Drivers can expect lane changes on Route 95 South in West Greenwich starting Friday night.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation or (RIDOT) will be removing the spilt-lane traffic pattern after Exit 6 (Route 3). Crews will be closing one lane on Friday night, and re-opening it by 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

The RIDOT has been shifting the traffic patterns in the area, allowing for the reconstruction of Weaver Hill Road Bridge. Crews will also close the right lane on Route 95 South and Weaver Hill Road completely at 9 p.m. on Sunday until 5:30 a.m. on Monday.

This closure will allow workers to safely demolish part of the existing bridge.
