"Move Over" law statistics

(WPRI) - Statistics from before and after Rhode Island's "move over" law was instituted.

Rhode Island State Troopers injured when their cruiser is struck by another vehicle while pulled off to the side of the highway:

 

2007 - 2

2008 - 4

2009 - 3

2010 - 0

 

Rhode Island State Police Cruisers "rear-ended" or "side-swiped" by another vehicle while pulled off to the side of the highway:

2007: 8

2008: 7

2009: 5
