RI gas prices down in time for holidays

Prices drop 4 cents over last two weeks

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Gas prices in Rhode Island have dropped again, giving motorists an early Christmas present.

AAA Southern New England says in its weekly survey Monday that self-serve regular unleaded is averaging $2.63 a gallon, or two cents less than last week.

AAA says the current price is four cents above the national average but nearly a dollar more than the average listing from a year ago at this time.

Prices have fallen four cents in the last two weeks.
