PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Gas prices have fallen slightly in Rhode Island to an average $2.75 for a gallon of regular.
AAA Southern New England reported Monday that prices fell 2 cents a gallon from last week, the first dip in the state this year.
The average price nationally is $2.70.
Despite the decrease, motorists still have to dig deeper in their wallets than last year. AAA says prices are up 91 cents a gallon from this time last year, an increase of nearly 50 percent.
