PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The Ocean State is receiving some positive recognition. According to a new report, Rhode Island is one of the healthiest states in the country.
The report from the nonprofit United Health Foundation has ranked all six New England states in the top 10.
The report ranks states on a number of indictors including obesity, smoking, cancer deaths and how many children receive vaccinations.
Vermont took the top spot followed by Utah. Rhode Island came in at number 10 on the list. Mississippi came in dead last in the report.
