PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The body of a missing man from Massachusetts has been pulled from the water in Providence.
Eyewitness News was on the scene on Kinsley Street in Providence, when crews pulled the body from the water around 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
Family members have confirmed for Eyewitness News that the body is of Gregory Hart, 23, of Dedham Massachusetts.
"This is a nightmare, the worst nightmare. I wouldn't wish on anybody. Gregory is the best kid you could ever have; dean's list, graduate of UMass Amherst, never any problems," said John Hart, the victim's father.
Hart was last seen in Providence at the Red Room Bar on Saturday night.
The victim's mother, Marianne Hart said, "He was with two other people, supposedly, actually even a few more. And there was a fight inside that bar and I don't know who was fighting with who, there are all different conflicting stories."
A missing person's report was filed on Monday, after family and friends hadn't heard from him.
There are many unanswered questions surrounding his disappearance and death at this time.
No word on a cause of death. Police are continuing to investigate.
