PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A Boston man has been convicted of a deadly shooting in Providence.

Prosecutors are hoping to have Dana Gallop classified as a habitual offender so he can be given a longer sentence.

Gallop shot and killed 24-year-old Anthony Parrish outside a nightclub in 2008.

Another man was also shot but he survived.

A sentencing date has not yet been set.
