PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Brown University took extra precautions at its latest university-sanctioned party.

Only Brown and RISD students were allowed at the party at Brown's Harkness Hall Friday night.

A university officer was also stationed outside the party.

The extra precautions were to prevent any more violence like that which occured at last weekend's sorority party.

Numerous fights broke out and some people even tried to wrestle a gun away from a campus cop.

Providence police said if there were any more incidents like last week's, Brown will not be allowed to have another university-sanctioned party.
