NORTH SCITUATE, R.I. (WPRI) - A boil water advisory has been issued for Ponaganset Middle School in North Scituate.
The Rhode Island Department of Health says that the school disinfected over the weekend. New test results are expected soon.
Officials say the middle school is the only school affected, as they use well water. Health officials tell Eyewitness News the water can be used to wash hands, but should not be used as drinking water.
There is no word on exactly what type of bacteria was found in
the water or when it was first discovered.
