PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - In the first live televised Congressional debate on Eyewitness News and streaming live on wpri.com, the Democratic candidates for the 1st Congressional District went head-to-head answering the tough questions.
During the second part of the debate, moderator and Eyewitness News Reporter Tim White asked the candidates a variety of trying questions related to illegal immigration, the war in the Afghanistan, mass firings at the troubled Central Falls High School, the death penalty, renewable energy and much more.
The four candidates include: Providence Mayor David Cicilline, Lincoln businessman Anthony Gemma, former Democratic Party Chairman Bill Lynch, and State Rep. David Segal .
