Four Congressional candidates go head-to-head

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - In the first live televised Congressional debate on Eyewitness News and streaming live on wpri.com, the Democratic candidates for the 1st Congressional District went head-to-head answering the tough questions.

During the first part of the debate, moderator and Eyewitness News Reporter Tim White asked the candidates a variety of trying questions related to the Bush tax cuts which will expire in 2011, the usage of federal stimulus money, resolving the national budget deficit, raising the retirement age for social security and much more.

The four candidates include: Providence Mayor David Cicilline, Lincoln businessman Anthony Gemma, former Democratic Party Chairman Bill Lynch, and State Rep. David Segal .
