PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The Democratic candidates for the 1st Congressional District went head-to-head Tuesday night, in the first live televised debate at the Providence Performing Arts Center.
During the debate introductions, each of the four candidates pled their case as to why they should be elected to fill U.S. Representative Patrick Kennedy's seat.
The four candidates include: Providence Mayor David Cicilline, Lincoln businessman Anthony Gemma, former Democratic Party Chairman Bill Lynch, and State Rep. David Segal .
