FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI)- A local man ended up becoming a hero while vacationing in California.
Seiah Hak spotted the owner of a jewelry store struggling with a robber armed with a gun and rushed in to help.
Hak, who has more than thirty years of martial arts training and multiple black belts, says he was worried about everyone inside.
"They're all panicked, screaming and I saw a little kid and customers in there," he said. "I grabbed his arm and put him in an arm bar and took him down."
He held the suspect in that arm bar until police arrived on scene.
No one was seriously injured in the incident.
