WESTPORT, Mass. (WPRI) - An early morning crash kills a West Warwick man and leaves a woman with serious injuries.
Officials say that just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, 26 year old Jaroslaw Cuzytek was driving down on route 195 west in Westport, when he lost control of his car.
The vehicle struck the jersey barrier in the breakdown lane and rolled over before coming to rest in the travel lane.
Cuzytek was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger, 23 year old Megan Pont of Rehoboth, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. She was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Rhode Island Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
