WARREN, Mass. (AP) -- A dozen years after Molly Bish's disappearance, a vigil to remember the late 16 year-old will be held in the town where she disappeared.

The event will happen at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the gazebo in Warren's town common.

Bish vanished from her lifeguard post at a pond in Warren on June 27, 2000, as she was preparing for her morning duty.

When swimmers arrived, Bish was gone but her lunch, water bottle, sandals, radio and first-aid kit were still there.

In June 2003, authorities recovered some of the teenager's bones in the woods in nearby Palmer.

While authorities convened a grand jury, they haven't charged anyone in connection with Bish's death
