SOMERSET, Mass. (WPRI) - Massachusetts State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Somerset.

Police tell us George Oliver, 60, of Fall River, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-195 East by the Lee's River Avenue overpass at about 7:15 Sunday night.

Initial investigations indicate that Oliver crashed his pick-up truck into the guardrail near Exit 4, then left the roadway and struck several trees before coming to a stop.

Oliver was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are still investigating what caused the driver to strike the guardrail.
