NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) – The North Attleboro Police Department held an auction on Saturday to clean out their evidence locker.
The items being auctioned off were unclaimed evidence and seized items including clothes, DVDs, electronics, bags, jewelry and bicycles.
Hundred of bikes were auctioned off; some for only a couple of dollars.
The police evidence locker has been overfilled for awhile and police say they have tried to find the rightful owners, but sometimes they just don’t know who the rightful owners are.
The money raised from the auction will go to the town’s general fund.
