NEW BEDFORD, Mass (WPRI) - 35-year-old Kristy Lee Roshia of New Bedford, who we have learned also goes by the alias Kristy L. Morgan, has been arrested for threatening to kill First Lady Michelle Obama.

Roshia was arrested by the Secret Service in Hawaii on Saturday. She is accused of sending threatening letters to Mrs. Obama, including one that said she would "blow away" the First Lady.

Court papers say Roshia also called the Secret Service's Boston Office last month, making threats against Mrs. Obama to a receptionist who answered the phone.

She was arrested in Hawaii just miles from where the Obama Family will spend their Christmas vacation, after allegedly sending another threatening letter while on the island. The First Family is not scheduled to arrive until later this week.

Roshia appeared in court in Hawaii Tuesday. She is being held without bail pending another hearing on Wednesday.

According to an affidavit obtained by Eyewitness News, Roshia has previously been arrested and charged with making threats.
