NEW BEDFORD, Mass., (WPRI) - New Bedford police Thursday said they're on the hunt for a suspect wanted in connection with a double shooting earlier this week.
Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Aaron Bookman, 18, of New Bedford after Tuesday night's shooting near the Holy Family Holy Name school at the intersection of Summer and Mills Streets.
Two people were shot in the leg.
Police are hoping the public will help them locate Bookman. They urged anyone who knows his whereabouts to call 911 immediately; Text-a-Tip to 274637 using the keyword CALL50; or by going to their tip website.
In the meantime, police said the investigation is moving forward as they continue to question eyewitnesses.
