FRANKLIN, MASS. (WPRI) - A Massachusetts boy makes an usual discovery while digging in the dirt at his Franklin home.
Three-year-old Tyler was playing in his front yard, when he discovered an engagment ring and a matching wedding band.
Tyler gave the rings to his mother, Luna Baima, believing they were hers, but she quickly realized the two rings were a wedding set.
With a little detective work and help from her neighbors, Baima was able to locate Joan Mulligan, the home's former owner.
Joan says she lost the rings while weeding in the yard 33 years ago. Tyler presented Joan with the rings this week, and in return she rewarded him with fifty dollars.
Joan Mulligan and her husband will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary next August.
