ATTLEBORO, M.A. (WPRI) - Security cameras reportedly will be installed inside the evidence room at the Attleboro police station.
According the Attleboro Sun Chronicle, the city council unanimously voted Tuesday night in favor of a request from Police Chief Kyle Heagney.
The decision comes after cocaine and other illegal drugs disappeared from the evidence room following an audit in 2011.
The incident has resulted in an ongoing investigation by the Attleboro police station and the District Attorney's office.
