NEW BEDFORD, M.A. (WPRI) - The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has increased its reward for information on two dogs found shot to death in a New Bedford Business Park.
Animal advocates are now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. The additional money has come from donations.
On February 13, a Chihuahua and Golden Retriever were found shot in the back of the head near a manufacturing plant building.
Dr. Gerald Pietsch, of Anchor Animal Hospital in Dartmouth, says he believes someone was taking care of both dogs before they were shot.
