FREETOWN, Mass. (WPRI) - A local bridge damaged in the historic floods could reopen earlier than expected.
The Fall River Herald reports the Elm Street Bridge in Freetown, Massachusetts could reopen by late-October.
According to the report, the contractor claims to be ahead of schedule.
The bridge has been closed since March, hurting nearby businesses .
The timetable will depend on weather conditions and other factors.
