Faulty hydrant hampers fire fighters efforts

TAUNTON, MASS. (WPRI) - A mobile home in Taunton was destroyed by fire on Monday.
Fire broke out just before 11:00am at 25 Thayer Drive. Fire fighters tell Eyewitness News the home is a total loss.
Fire fighters at the scene had a difficult time battling the fire because a nearby hydrant was not working. Crews quickly brought in a water pump truck, and were able to get the fire under control.
One fire fighter was hurt while fighting the fire. He was taken to the hospital with a shoulder injury.
No one was home when the fire broke out.
